Diva cup

Question

So how does the diva cup work ??  I've been wanting to try it but does it go over your cervix?  Or when laying down does the blood spill back into you ?  When taking it out is it messy ?

I got mine off Amazon. Can't remember the size I got. I love it. It goes around your cervix. Depending on your flow it can be messy. I like to change it while I'm showering, if I leak or anything its not a mess to clean up. They do take time to get use to. Its the best thing I've done for myself! I havent had leaks and forget im on it. It says every 12 hours switch it but on my heavier days ill do like 10 hours and lighter ill go longer since I know the cup isn't filling as fast. I have read on here when it gets full and backed up you'll get pains but I never had that.

The menstrual cup is life changing!  There is a learning curve so wear a pad or panty liner with it the first few cycles.  There are videos you can watch on YouTube with tips for how to insert them.  Once you get the hang of it, it's amazing.  Sometimes I forget I'm even on my period.  My cramps are also not as bad since using it.  It doesn't spill when you're wearing it if it's inserted correctly.  I never have to awkwardly take my purse to the bathroom.  I like the Saalt because the stem is softer and doesn't bother me, but you can trim the stem on any cup if it's too long.  I'll never go back to another method!

I've been using the June cup since they started selling their cups at cost ($6) at the beginning of Covid. It took me a cycle to get comfortable with it but I can't imagine going back! I don't have to buy/store tampons or liners again!! (I do use a pair of period panties as backup on heavy days).
