Has anyone being in the situation of not getting the name they wanted for their baby?

Have tried to convince husband on naming our baby Ari but he is set on Alexander. He is willing to have Ari as a second or third name.

No. If one of us doesn’t like the name it’s automatically out. We went through names until we found some we both liked with our first and will do the same this time. I think naming should be a collaborative effort, it shouldn’t be one person gets their way and the other is stuck with a name they don’t like.

Yes and no. We came to a compromise and went with one we both liked but wasn't either of our top picks. We're both happy with our choice.

We each made a list of our top 5 names so we had a combined list of 10. We then each ranked the list 1-10 (1 being best, 10 being worst) and added the rankings. The one that had the lowest score won. 
That happened to be his top name and my 4th favorite. It was a fair way to do it and I’m happy with what we ended up with even though it wasn’t my top name.

I had my 1st baby names picked out since 8th grade! LoL so I was not changing my mind,, I let him pick the middle name if we have another baby he can pick

Yes as in I didn’t get my first choice but not in a “my husband wants this name so that’s what we’re going with” way lol. Either we compromise or nothing.

We both have a first and two middle names, so her first and third name are family names and the second is one we chose together. Hilariously she goes by her middle name which isn't a family name.

Not me but my husband. He wanted to name our second kid Archimedes and Archie for short if it's a boy 😂 but there's already an Archie in the extended family so we can't do it. I would've gone along with it tbh if this wasn't the case 😂

I have my daughter name picked out since high school and I choose her first name and middle my husband love her name no problem and with my son he choose the first and middle and I love his name so we have the same tasted in name
