Do you care what your child calls their grandparents
Specifically for grandmothers because usually I’ve heard certain titles make them feel old.
Some names for grandmother’s:
Granny
Nana
Mimi
Mawmaw
My fiancé’s mother wants to be called Mimi just like her friend’s grandchildren do, but my fiancé keeps messing with her and telling our son to call her granny. Personally I don’t care as long as it’s something respectful. Her and my fiancé go back and forth about it. She says granny sounds old. I think it’s whatever the kid calls her.
Edit:
I have no problem with it at all. It’s my fiancé that keeps messing with her about it. No matter how many times I tell him she doesn’t like it he still does it. So I don’t get in the middle of their back and forth. In all honesty she does mess with him about things he doesn’t like so I guess it’s normal for them 🧐.
As long as my kids don’t call her something mean.
