First Doctors Visit: what to expect?

What are some questions I should know to ask? What are some warning signs? What will I be told. Rather it be an early appointment just to see how far along I am, or it be a regular first appointment at 6-8 weeks. All advice, comments, experiences/stories welcomed!

Ftm, so I had ideas of what my "ideal" birth would be like, but wasn't sure how to go about it. (Natural/vaginal, no surgical procedures)
I went to an OB and asked them about natural remedies for morning sickness and other common symptoms of pregnancy.
 I asked what hospital they're affiliated with, what their cesarean rate was, and who would be delivering my baby.
 I asked about the neonatal care at the hospital and I found out what hospital they would transfer my baby in case of serious complications.
Ultimately, I went in with a half date, half interview approach and came out knowing that there would be no call back/second date because I just wasn't feeling it. I ended up choosing a different practice.
Know what you want, and what you don't. Understand that there may be a *need* to stray from your ideal birth plan, but your provider should respect and support your values and beliefs surrounding your pregnancy and child's birth. They should be willing and able to explain all the possibilities and options you have, from a place of respect. Labor and delivery is a vulnerable time, you don't need someone condescending and making you feel inadequate or incompetent during your first moments in motherhood.

First visit for me (8 weeks) was a transvaginal ultrasound, bloodwork, urinalysis & pelvic exam. Long visit.

For me it was pretty much me peeing in a cup, them doing a pregnancy test and confirming along with some bloodwork. I didn’t get my ultrasound till my second visit

First visit we just went over paperwork mostly, I had to pee in cup, they ordered some bloodwork. They gave me a due date. I wasnt offered an ultrasound so that bummed me out.
