What are you doing with visitors after birth?

Question

So no hate at all towards anyone’s decisions with their own baby and family after birth, but what are you guys doing about visitors and people outside of your household after you have your baby? I am feeling lost and have a different plan every day. I’m having a c section and my third baby on July 14. My hospital does not allow visitors at this time and my husband cannot come back into the room once he leaves. Im in New Jersey and they are still heavily restricted at the hospital I’m delivering at. 
T hey have recommended I have no one come and see our baby at home unless they are fully vaccinated. I have many family members that will never be vaccinated. They suggest I require everyone to wear a mask if I do have visitors anyway. I’m feeling very stressed worrying about our families reactions while of course being extremely worried for the health and safety of my new baby. Just looking for everyone else’s thoughts and plans. Thanks for any and all input

Only vaccinated family members and even then not right away. Masks and distancing will have to happen as well. There is a few select that will be allowed to hold the baby. At this point I don’t care if it offends anyone. We’ve waited a long time for this baby and too many people can’t follow simple public health guidelines…

Unless someone is sniffly, coughing, has a cold, etc we will be allowing grandparents/immediate family right away for short visits and then friends after a few weeks once we get settled and things calm down. That has nothing to do with sickness for us, the newborn phase is just a lot and we have two other babies so I need that time to recover and get in a routine before friends start coming over 😂 If you’re worried about the whole masks and covid thing though it’s already been proven the virus goes through masks so that’s pretty pointless. everyone will have a different opinion and different way they do things though so do whatever y’all are comfortable with!  And it’s okay to change your mind after baby is here!

None of my immediate family, aside from my mom and two siblings, have been vaccinated. My husband and I haven’t been vaccinated due to compromised immune systems. We’ve all had COVID (my household got it in December when I was about 10 weeks pregnant). Same for my husbands side of the family. 
My husband and I are in the take-precautions-but-don’t-stop-your-life boat. We’ll allow our family to visit, we’ll ask them to wash their hands and not kiss baby’s face (like I would pre-COVID). I’ve never asked them to wear masks and I won’t ask them to wear them now. They respect us enough to not come over if they’re feeling sick. Also, personal opinion, but I think the mask thing is ridiculous. I have asthma and I’m 36 weeks pregnant, I can hardly breathe as it is, let alone with a mask. I chose not to wear it as often as possible. I’m glad our state is starting to let up on it.

No visitors for us for awhile…I’m scared and don’t want to put my newborn at risk. Besides even if folks are vaccinated how does that protect the baby they can still get and transmit the virus only difference is their symptoms won’t really show so they probably won’t even have a clue they are positive….it’s too much for me so I’d rather not have visitors

Vaccinated only for us and a few people are allowed with masks. Our numbers are pretty low in Vegas and most family is already vaccinated. This is all for our close family. Friends and extended family are on hold for a bit.

We will require visitors to be fully vaccinated and to wear a mask. I think I will only allow visitors after 2-3 weeks. I will need time to adjust/start healing. Also last time I saw my in-laws they exposed us (me, husband and our 1 year old) to COVID (knowingly) so I don’t trust them one bit. Better safe than sorry.

Vaccinated indoor visitors. Unvaccinated visitors can still meet the baby outdoors from a distance. This is what we decided a while ago as things were really bad where I live. Now that things are improving I might adjust this slightly but not for at least a few months after the baby is born.  I remember my son getting his first minor cold at around 2 months (pre COVID) and even that was scary because they're just so little and it's hard to tell how they are feeling. I really dont want to risk anything. The only thing I'm conflicted about is my husbands brother has 3 kids (5, 8, and 10) who currently cant get the vaccine and it's hard to tell them they cant meet the baby right now. But they've also been in isolation for exposure to COVID like 4 times.

The only person allowed to come near my newborn is my mother in law who is fully vaccinated. Everyone else vaccine or not is not welcome until I’m no longer bleeding.
I learned that the hard way last summer with my first. I was so stressed out even knowing my friends and family quarantined. This time I’m taking my mental health into account. 😅💞

We don’t have restrictions like the us (in Australia) but my MIL is fifo and gets home the day after induction (she is fretting and has the guilts hardcore she can’t be there to help more) and me and her have spoken and I can now use the excuse that No1 on that side of the family is coming to the hospital to visit (prefer from that side of the family she meets baby first) which works for me
My mum will have my kids so depending on how long I’m in for she can bring them down to meet the newest addition. As for home visits unless ur bringing me food, cleaning my house, or coming to help in some aspect with my other kids don’t even bother asking to come because it will be a day by day assessment on how I’m adjusting to dealing with 3 kids and settling. My house sitter has already planned a full house clean while I’m

Everyone knows the rules if there’s the slightest sniffle u stay away 
Tbh there’s 4-5 people who will know the actual ins and outs of induction dates (Mum, mil, best friend, house sitter, partners boss) everyone else is getting told a random date the week after and we will announce birth after I’m home
