First Ultrasound Took 15 seconds...

I'm still disappointed and angry...

My doctor's office is a physician group so you can see one of eight doctors while you're there. The doctor I was assigned to for my first real ultrasound (9w5d) and informational appointment made me feel like I was cattle being herded.

She was so obvious that she just wanted everything to be done very quickly. My sister-in-law asked if I saw the baby moving around on the ultrasound, and I told her that honestly the ultrasound was no more than 10 to 15 seconds long. She just said yep there it is - printed us a picture and asked if we had any questions and left.

I have her for my next appointment and I'm thinking about telling her that I was really disappointed in my last ultrasound and I'd like to request another. Apparently at my next appointment they'll just do a Doppler. I won't have another ultrasound until a 20-week scan.

Luckily there is a certified sonographer that has a business right down the street from where I live that will give you a 15 minute long ultrasound with videos and tons of pictures. I went early on in my pregnancy and it was such a wonderful experience I would love to take my husband back so we can actually have a good one together.

I guess I'm done thinking that I'll have a great experience at my doctor's office. This doc needs a lesson in bedside manner. Yes, I know you do this all day long so it's not a big deal to you, but it's a HUGE deal to my husband and I so if you could pretend to give a f*** , that'd be cool.
