Best thing for getting rid of pacifier?

Hi there!
I have a now 2year old that wants her pacifier every time she gets sleepy and screams for it. How can I stop this or what products do you recommend that worked for very stubborn little ones?

Dip it in lemon before you give it to her, or any unpleasant flavour that will put her off it 😅

We decided to do a “trade” at the Disney Store! We told our daughter that she could pick out whatever toy she wanted, but she had to leave her pacifiers as an “exchange”. It worked out so well and she enjoyed talking about how she left her pacifiers to get something fun. The cashier was helpful and threw away the pacifier for us so our daughter could see it was going away.

I saw a super cute video where someone took their daughter to build a bear and had her put the pacifier inside the bear! So she still had it but now it was a new comfort.

Sorry it made me pick a product. But honestly you might try to just let her cry it out a little bit for a couple nights. I hesitated getting rid of my daughters because of this and one day I just threw it away. The first couple nights were rough and then she basically forgot about it.

I do daycare and have had multiple parents do the cutting method, from age 1-2.5. It works! Even some of the most stubborn kids once it was given to them they put it in their mouth and take it out and chew on it and you just cut more week by week till there is nothing left. Some kids used it until the nipple was gone others quit after the first time being cut. Just don't give in after you start! Good luck Momma!!

We did cold Turkey with my daughter. She was about 15 or so months at the time and only used it to sleep. She cried at naps and bedtime for about 3 days. I finally caved and gave it back to her but she just popped into it of her mouth and handed it back to me. Never needed it again after that. We had to take it from her because she started to chew holes in the rubber.
