10 week ultrasound?

My very first prenatal appointment is set for 10 weeks 3 days. This is my first pregnancy so I’ve never done any of this before, my doctor didn’t tell me to get early blood work done or anything so this will be my very first time seeing the doctor since getting pregnant.

What can I expect from this appointment? I assume they will be doing an ultrasound; would this be far enough along for it be abdominal rather than vaginally? Is it too early for a blood test to tell the gender? What questions should I ask?
