Night terrors?

My LO is waking up every night around 3:30-4:00 am, and is crying and nothing calms him down. Seems like when you try to help him it makes it worse. Not sure what’s going on. Any idea?

Honestly kids do a lot of stuff in their sleep. But also if you go in every time . It may just be creating a habit . Yes they're upset about something but maybe LO needs a minute to figure out for themselves they're ok.

My daughter did that for about 5 months that started about 17 months till just recently. She just randomly stopped doing it. But she would wake up a couple times a night screaming, crying, inconsolable for a bit.

My daughter has always done this........ She's still asleep if you pick her up it adds to it as she doesn't understand why you have woken her. I don't always rush in and she settles, I'm there but don't pick her up if in her sleep or if I do pop her back down and reassure her.
