What does it mean when a test for preterm labor is positive?

I’ve been told it means you’ll go into labor within 2 weeks

Answer

It means you’re very likely to go into labor sometime in the next 48 hours
BUT
That test has frequent false positives.  Just get the steroid injections, rest, hydrate, and go in the moment you notice any regularity to your contractions.
My ffn test was actually negative so they sent me home and I gave birth the next day
