Hair fallout after pregnancy?

Does hair fallout after pregnancy? I saw a video of a girl who’s hair was half gone and hasn’t grown back. I want kids in the near future but I’m worried about my hair falling out now.. 
yes, I know it’s absolutely dumb and silly to think like that “it’s just hair” but I have a severe complex about my hair (traumatizing childhood experience) I hope you understand..

The more common occurrence is that you lose all the extra hair you sprout out from pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones sort of make you glow and blossom everywhere, so you get used to your hair looking awesome for 9 months... then it starts to fade back to normal.
I’m sure there are exceptions, I’m not familiar with the situation you mentioned... but this was my experience.

I haven't had the pregnancy glow up that makes hair thicker. Unless you count the ones on my chin. Not looking forward to the postpartum hair loss, but I am SO looking forward to meeting my beautiful baby. 
My plan, if it's bad enough to impact my self-esteem, is to wear the wigs I've already got. It's only 3-5, but I used them to get through bad transition periods with my hair before. And I love hats for the same reason.
But, I think I'll be too focused on the baby to care. I can't remember the last time I saw a new mom and baby and thought to check her hair.

It’s common, I think it grows back normal for the majority of people. You can lose hair with any hormone fluctuation or stress. In the beginning of covid I was losing a huge amount of hair from stress, it stopped and is growing back but it was horrible for me since I’m pretty insecure about my body and my thick curly hair is such a import thing for my confidence.

Postpartum hair loss is a thing. It is very normal to experience more shedding after several months after baby is born. What this girl went through sounds very extreme. It can be overwhelming. I noticed my hair thin out a lot and I got very thin at my temples but it all grew back in.

Very common to have some hair loss due to hormones, I mean I think losing half your hair is a little extreme but I guess it could happen.

For a lot of women it does. But some lose a little and some lose a lot. Most of the time it grows back. 
You can moderate it by being sure to take your postnatal vitamins.
