Fiancé going shooting on Father’s Day?

I’m 22 weeks pregnant and don’t know if I’m just hormonal but I’m sad that my fiancé left to go shooting with his dad all day when we have a 2 year old at home and I’m pregnant. He could’ve gone on any Sunday. 
My own father is gone too in a trip and i just feel so alone. I’m a SAHM so I would’ve appreciated him staying home too to be with his daughter and allow me to relax for a bit. He works 13 hour days 6 days a week. So it’s just my daughter and I and he never does much with her. But it hurts that it’s Father’s Day and he didn’t care I said to stay with the baby to be with her and me being pregnant. 
Just hormonal? Or it’s a little messed up. Thanks.

It’s Father’s Day, it’s his day to celebrate how he wants to and he apparently wanted to spend it with his father too. 
I can’t imagine the stress and exhaustion he feels working 13 hours a day every day with only one day off per week. Taking some time to spend with his dad on Father’s Day in a way that he enjoys is not only understandable, I would personally encourage it and have your child make him a Father’s Day card to give him when he gets home. 
It’s my husband’s very first Father’s Day (I’m pregnant with our first) and he’s sleeping until noon because that’s what he wants. Let him relax in the way he prefers for today.

I think it’s fine that he’s going shooting with his dad BUT I also understand why it bums you out a bit.  I would be sad if my SO didn’t want to spend the day with his son also, especially when I prepared for the day.  It’s okay for him to focus on himself today but it’s also okay for you to be a bit unhappy about it

It’s Father’s Day though… this sounds like you wanted him to give you a break??? He’s also out with his own father on Father’s Day… I don’t understand what the problem is. By the same logic he can stay home any Sunday and help you with the baby and give you break. 
It doesn’t sound like from what he wrote like you had something planned out to celebrate him or anything like that.

I think you’re being childish, it’s Father’s Day that means it’s his day. Free to do whatever he wants on his day and to be mad that he’s spending it with his father is completely ridiculous. Just like you have a Mother’s Day which I’m sure you expect a lot on that day so why can’t you just appreciate him and let him have 1 day to himself I’m sure he works hard for his family so be a little more appreciative and considerate of him and his feelings. Not everything is about you I’m 23 weeks pregnant with 4 kids at home ages 9, 5, 3 and 2 if my husband wanted to go out I would not care because he works hard and just like us on Mother’s Day they deserve a day too.

He should be able to spend today doing whatever he wants within reason. If he said he was going to jump out of a plane today I’d be worried a little but other than that you get a rest day. Congratulations everybody wins

My husband is also going shooting with my dad today for Father’s Day, however it was my idea to give them some alone bonding time considering I see my husband every day and my father doesn’t, so yes I’m sitting at home alone and pregnant today too. 
However, I like to think of it like Mother’s Day, on that day typically kids spend time with their MOTHERS. And mother’s get to do whatever they want that day. 
So the fact that it’s Father’s Day then he should be able to do as he pleases and spend time with his FATHER guilt free. 
Now I understand we can all get emotional sometimes but take this opportunity to reflect on your feelings and realize that he is not asking for much for ONE day. 
I would say let him have his alone time, even if it was a friend and not dad, men deserve friends and time to hangout with them too.
