It matters in different stages of life. For instance I think it’d be more reasonable for a 22 year old and a 26 year old to date. A 19 year old is mentally and emotionally in a different place than a 23 year old. Not saying it ain’t possible but be careful

I don't think it is a big age gap I wouldn't even say necessarily "mentally" like everyone else is. At those ages I think the biggest determining factors though are education, career, settling down location etc. If those choices and goals align well enough to carry on a serious long term relationship. Though it is also acceptable to have a serious relationship for now while it works and then see where you both go from there.

No it's not at all. My parents are 12 years apart and have been together for 30 years. They love each other more than those who are too concerned with age gap who ends up divorced or not married at all tbh.

I mean..I really don’t think 19 and 23 is THAT big of a mental age gap. One could hypothetically still be in college and the other may have recently graduated in the last year or two. One issue though might be if the 23 year old likes to go out often. It would suck to not be able to attend 21+ stuff if your s/o is into that. Otherwise I don’t see the big deal.

Not necessarily always about the gap in age, but kore the maturity level your at. My first fiancé was 7 years older than me, my husband now is 4 years older.
