Should I get checked out?

I’m 36 weeks and 1 day. Last Friday I had my show and was already thinning and dilating. My doctor had me get steroid shots to help mature the babies lungs since it looked like she could come early. Starting Sunday I’ve had irregular contractions, cramps and back aches. She has definitely dropped more. I called the doctors office yesterday to ask what I should do and the nurse was supposed to call me back but never did. Should I call and tell them I want to get checked or just wait it out?
