Hi everyone I gave birth to a sweet baby boy on a couple days ago. They took him to the NICU because I developed chorio during labor. It’s been three days and he doesn’t have the infection and he’s holding his body temperature. He’s 5 lbs. 8 oz. The most he can eat from the bottle is 20-25 mL. The NICU nurses want him to bottle feed 31 mL every 3 hours. But he only can go up to 15-20 mL because when he doesn’t finish the 31 mL in 30 minutes and he’s halfway through they’ll put the rest through a feeding tube. That’s the only thing keeping him from coming home and he’s the healthiest baby in the NICU. I’m going to call his pediatrician tomorrow to see if he can get discharged because he’s eating and not spitting up and he’s pooping and peeing on a regular. Has this happened to any of you mamas and what did you guys do?
