Birth control options

I was put on the pill when I was 15 and was on it for over 20 years before I went off while TTC. I am now looking at other birth control options. While we were TTC, I had to go back on the pill during for a short while due to medication I was taking and my hormones were all over the board plus i had other issues. My doctor decided that those issues were worse enough to take me off after only three weeks. I’ve been looking at other birth control options now. I don’t think the arm implant or the shots would work for me due to not liking needles and such. I’ve been thinking possibly IUD but looking for other options I haven’t considered yet. I’m almost 40 now
