Pregnancy tissue on ultrasound

Hello ladies, today I saw the OBGYN and had my first ultrasound. She told me she was unsure what she was seeing. She said that she saw pregnancy tissue but that she couldn’t see a sac. She said that there was possibly something there that she could not see but she said more than likely I had a chemical pregnancy. She then offered me a pill to restart my period which I understood to be an abortion pill.

Has anyone heard of such a thing like this? If so have you turned out to be pregnant after all? Alternatively, how difficult would it be to see a baby on an ultrasound in a woman who has a backwards tilted uterus?

If this is a chemical this would be my second miscarriage in less than a year which is devastating to me.
