Ear blocking / deafness?

Question

This is a really random one but it only started happening around 15w.
I'm currently 25w and every now and then I feel like my right ear totally blocks and I can't hear. Everything is muffled but my own voice is insanely amplified as I hear the vibrations from inside my head! I can't regulate the volume of my voice or the tone which is really strange.
There is NOTHING I can do to fix it when it happens! Yesterday I was walking around the shops with a friend and today was out for a hike with my partner and his kids and I lost hearing in that ear for hours.
Has anyone else experienced this? My hearing comes back once I'm in a quiet environment again...

Yes! Started for me as well in early pregnancy… I thought it was my allergies since pregnancy does cause allergies to be worse. Taking a Zyrtec helps it a bit but still nothing to go around it. I’m 26 weeks now and I still experience this at least once a week. More so when I’m active, out of breath, or outside. SO ANNOYING.

Talk to your doctor. I’ve never experienced this, but maybe it has to do with the increased blood pressure in pregnancy? Or maybe you have some wax stuck deep and need a professional cleaning…though doubtful because it comes and goes. Maybe they can send you to an ear, nose, and throat specialist?
