Lh tests negative but I have a peak

So all week I've been bbt, testing LH using clear blue too and everyday my LH strips have been so light they never are 2 days I've had high on clear blue and today I got my peak and my LH was still only 0.42. I'm so confused by this as it's never happened before but if I have my peak today so surely that should be enough? Its just so confusing 😕
