Would you let your 22 year old son move back home

My 22 year old called me in the middle of the night crying asking if he can move back in. I said why and he said him and his gf broke up. When I asked why he started crying saying he was embarrassed. I calmed him down and told him he could tell me anything. (TW) He got drunk and was doing party drugs and woke up tied up. He asked his gf to untie him but she started putting things up inside him and he asked her to stop and she said she wanted to stretch him out and wouldn't stop... I picked him up the second he told me that. I had to stay in the car because if I saw her I would kill her. My husband(son's step dad) doesn't want him moving back on. I explained what happened and he said "Then drop him off at salvation army!" Am I wrong for wanting to take my son back home?
