Does bv really cause miscarriages

Hi I'm just wondering if anybody in here has history with BV and if so has their doctors mentioned that BV is linked to miscarriages early in the 2nd trimester??? I have reoccurring bv and when I spoke to my doctor about my concerns regarding this my doctor kinda blew me off and says it's a correlation not a causation that it's ery rare but I'm seriously worried because evething on Google says bv is deadly to the baby and after my doctors completely ignored my concerns in February before my miscarriage I'm scared to trust doctors again.
