I have a friend on vacation in my state I haven’t seen in several years. They told me the dates they were traveling and would be in my area so I took an afternoon off of work so I’d be available when they came through. Well the day I’m expecting to see them I get a text saying they drove through the day before. Okay cool. So then they text me last minute a few days later and want to meet for lunch when they drive back past. I was at work but clocked out for lunch to meet them because they said they were close. They text me a half hour after my lunch has ended and said they were 20 minutes out even though they led me to believe they’d be there at the same time I got there. So now I’m back at work and we made plans to get together for dinner. I have an hour-ish drive to meet them but I told them to tell me where to meet them and I’d be there. I’m leaving straight from work in an hour and I haven’t heard from them on where to meet. With this track record I’m hesitant to even start driving that way. My baby isn’t feeling good and honestly I just want to go home and be with him instead of driving an hour out of my way for a visit I may get stood up on.
