My dog’s behavior changed as soon as I got pregnant.

My 2 year old rescue had major issues with younger kids and would almost lunge at them. Ever since I got pregnant something changed in him and he has suddenly become super super friendly with kids of all ages. He waits for the kids in our neighborhood to come play with him in the evening. He even carries his toys and balls to the patio so they can play fetch with him. He is so gentle with these kids like he would just drop the ball in front of them or in their hand.. and gets sad when they leave. What really happened here? Is he preparing to be a big brother? Does he know there is going to be an addition to the family. I am 15 weeks pregnant.
