Pregnancy and mouthwash?!

I feel so stupid I’m 30 weeks and I used mouthwash with alcohol In it! I didn’t even think about it! I obviously split it out like I was supposed too but I didn’t even think about the fact it can still get absorbed and go into the blood stream. Is my baby going to be okay?! I’m freaking out. Will they test baby at all for this when she’s born? I don’t even drink alcohol!

Unless you’re drinking it, it’s perfectly safe to use mouthwash.

It's not like you downed a bottle of it. You use it and spit it out. Some women actually drink alcoholic drinks during pregnancy and the babies are fine. I don't condone drinking during pregnancy at all but brushing your teeth and using mouthwash. I'm sure you're okay. If you are overly concerned check with your gyno but I'd be shocked if they tell you to neglect your oral health during pregnancy. (Especially since pregnancy can make it worse)
