Why is everyone against me not wanting to breast feed ?

Like I understand it’s better for the baby but formula or breast feed a baby can be healthy and thriving why are people so against it ! It’s starting to make me so upset

People have an issue with literally everything. Don’t tell them that you’re not breastfeeding. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Tell em it’s none of their business how you feed your baby or what happens with your tits.

Unfortunately people will have something to say about everything you do. I got shit from people because I breastfed for so long. Both of my girls self weaned around 2 and a half years old. My family would constantly say they were too old and I need to stop. It’s super annoying. Do what you feel is best mama ❤️

I had it the other way around: I was asked numerous times why on earth I was still breastfeeding after the first weeks and told that it was not an emancipated thing to do 😶

Feeding is such a hot topic. If you don’t breastfeed you’re selfish, if you do breastfeed you’re inappropriate for doing it in public, if you breastfeed past a certain age you’re a pervert, etc etc. none of us can win lol.

FED is best! Doesn’t matter which way you do, as long as baby is fed and healthy!

Oh, I know. It’s infuriating. I planned on breastfeeding, but my son was born prematurely and as it turned out I wasn’t making any milk. Nothing I did would establish a supply. I pumped around the clock for weeks, and only get a measly 10ml TOTAL for the day. The breaking point was me sitting at my dining room table pumping at 3am while bawling ny eyes out. My husband was like “no way, you can’t keep doing this to yourself.” So we gave up on breastfeeding and stuck with formula and our son is almost 3 now and THRIVING! Guess what people told me? That I wasn’t “trying hard enough.” People suck when it comes to their opinions about feeding babies. Formula really worked for us, as it does for so many others. You do what feels right for you!

My sisters baby is 23lbs at 11 months and formula fed. She’s healthy as could be. My 2 babies were breastfed and they’re severely underweight. My 2 year old is only 19-20lbs. My 4 year old is 30lbs. They may be healthy too but they’re just very slim babies. In a few years, no one would even know who’s been breastfed or formula fed. It’s your personal decision.
