He told me…

So my daughter has been teething nonstop. Literally for the last 3 months. Every other week a tooth is cutting through. So today I was telling my husband how his mom was hold our daughter and she said to me that “moms and parents need a break every now and then”. He told me “I understand but our daughter hasn’t been feeling good because of teething so she needs moms comfort”. I told him that with that mindset and her cutting one tooth at a time and no breaks, then I have her ALL THE TIME. Like if I hand her off to get five minutes she gets handed back because she needs mommas comfort. I don’t mind giving it but my back, my shoulders, my arms and my sanity need a break. You know? Why is this concept so hard for men to grasp? I don’t want to be upset with him but it’s so difficult not to be.

I overheard him and his mom talking once and her asking why I take on doing so much on myself and he told her “she likes to be hands on”. 🤨 Wait what? 😒 There’s hands on and then there’s the only one doing it. 😞
