Car seat help

How can I make the buckle circled not hit the sides of her legs? The other day she freaked out in her car seat and the buckle caused little bruises on her legs. 🥺 This is a maxi cosi Magellan and she is about 36” tall and 30 lbs, two years old.. The buckle is in the 2nd strap, but do you think I should move it to the 3rd? Please excuse the mess. 😁
