Can babies gain too much weight while exclusively breast feeding?

My son is almost 7 weeks old. He was born at 6 lbs 12 oz and dropped down to 6 lbs 3 oz. Now he is a little over 10 lbs already!! I’ve been EBF and feeding on demand. I have noticed he just started eating less so maybe he was going through a growth spurt? I’m just concerned he’s gaining too much but I don’t know if that’s a thing.

That sounds right to me!! I think my EBF was gaining 0.5lb a week as a newborn so 4 pounds in almost 2 months sounds great.

I don’t think a baby can be too chubby 💕 my little one was 8lbs at birth and dropped down to 7.8 at his two day check up. He’s 3 months old now and he’s doubled his birth weight and is 16.5 lbs! Good job, momma, on a healthy baby! 💕
