I got my nexplanon removed on June 9 and I got a new one inserted that same day. I still haven’t gotten my period and before I got my nexplanon removed, my cycle was about 45 days. It’s been 67 days since my last period. I did have some light spotting on July 3. Is it because my body is regulating / maybe I have an overlap in hormones since i had the original nexplanon for 2 years and 10 months, instead of 3 years?

My gyno told me to use a back up form of protection for 7 days until the new one kicks in and I waited 12 days to have unprotected sex.
