Hello everyone, I got the mirena inserted in like 3 or 4 weeks ago and I’ve had bleeding ever since and I just want to know how long does it last? It spotted very little then it stopped and then I’ve been bleeding for a while it feels like now and it’s driving me nuts!

It honestly just depends on ur individual body, as it’s different for everyone. Progestin only methods like mirena are most known for causing irregular bleeding/spotting patterns. That can include longer time frames with or without bleeding (including no bleeding at all), random bleeding, frequent bleeding, lighter bleeding, or heavier bleeding, at any given time. And, such irregular bleeding is especially common during the first 3-6 months.
