My 3 year old is autistic and is a very very active child who is on the go 24/7. He has a lot of “annoying” tics like getting in your face, screaming, stimming, being very loud, etc. but he is 3 and is learning.

My husband has no patience with him. Spanks him for having a fit or really having feelings at all. Yells at him. My husband’s family ignores him. My father in law has been here for 2 days and hasn’t said more than 5 words to him. Every time my son says something to him or tries to show him a toy or interact my father in law will walk away or say “haha, okay, go on somewhere now” like he’s a dog.

My heart is so broken. Everyone is outside right now enjoying themselves but I’m inside with my son consoling him because they don’t want him out there because he runs around and screams and they say it’s annoying. I really think I want to leave and go be with my own parents. They live very far away but they love my son and FaceTime him every day and are so patient with him.

Do you think something like this is worthy of divorce? I just feel like my son is suffering.
