Did you stretch your baby?

Question

My folks keep telling me to stretch my son while bathing him, and that it will strengthen his legs and arm. But I am away from them. How do I stretch my son 🤣

You can do this anytime, not just bath and it is good for them. These are baby exercises and it’s also good bonding. You just do it gently, don’t force it. Your baby will naturally resist and as you gently help them stretch it strengthens their muscles and helps their joints. Your baby will get the hang of it soon. 🥰

I’ve heard of this before.. I think you just pull on their arms and legs when you run the washcloth down their arms and legs. It’s not supposed to be super rough.. just a slight pull to stretch their limbs out straight.

I do this as part of playtime.  Not for any urgent need or reason, just because I figure he needs to learn to stretch out after being cramped up in sonde me! 
He has never slept unswaddled and his legs are so much better at moving then his arms! So I focus on his arms. Often during “playtime” and cuddles and even during daytime bottles I gently help him extend each of his arms a couple of times, just whenever I think of it. You certainly don’t have to, babe will move them enough on their own in the weeks to come!
