I will say 18 months was way too close.  I’m due with my fourth when my third is just turned 2 and I’m thinking that’s even a touch close.  I think 2 1/2 would have been a bit better

Mine are 3 years apart and it's perfect. I absolutely love it and am so glad for the space. I was 2 years exactly when my brother was born and was jealous and regressed a ton.
I do think personality has a lot to do with it though 🤔

My kids are five years one month apart

My 1st and 2nd are about a minute apart. My 3rd with 3.5 years apart, and baby #4 will be about 13 months apart from my 3rd.

My girls are 18 months apart and I love it. The beginning was tough, but now that my youngest is 13 months it’s so cute to watch them interact. I love that they will only be a grade apart. We will be trying for a third toward the end of the year.

I had out 2nd two years after the first and it was stressful but manageable. Our 3rd came three weeks ago and our two girls are now 6y and 8y old-the perfect age gap for us!!! They are independent, helpful but still young enough to habe a sibling relationship with their brother.

I have 4 yrs between my first nd 2nd bt only 14 months between 2nd nd 3rd. My oldest was in jealousy mode nd made things harder. My other two maybe close bt their bffs now(7&8).

Definitely 3 years for me. Waiting til previous turns 2 to even think of trying again. Bigger the gap the better in my experience.
