Always thought my mom made me do most of the chores because I'm the girl and/or the oldest

I have a brother and we have 16 months apart. My mom always had me do all the chores and I always thought it was because I'm a girl or the oldest. She always said "Do this" and when I asked why Jay couldn't do it she said "Because Jay won't do.it right". According to my.mom though she made me do all the chores because Jay's an idiot. She told me the one time she had him do laundry this is why happened.

She walks into the laundry room smelling bleach and she's Jay had put bleach all over our clothes and was scrubbing them

Mom: Jay wtf are you doing?!

Jay: Separating the colors from the whites! Duh (continues to scrub bleach into our clothes) Btw how do I put the colors back into the clothes when I'm done washing them?

Mom: You know whay? You're useless. Go do homework or something.

My brother however says he wasnt an idiot. Just high 90% of the time😂

Edit: See I think she should have just showed him too, but my mom has very little patience. My dad was the gentle one (passed away when my brother was a baby). My mom gets mad and just screams. She said she wouldn't have been able to show him without screaming at him so she just made me do it so that Jay couldn't say she " emotionally abused him". Which... As much as I love my mom she still kind of did emotionally abuse us. But her reasoning wad she has very little patience for idiots and Jays an idiot.
