Demanding respect

I came across a debate on Facebook and want to see people’s opinion on here. The original question was what do men want in a relationship and what to women want in a relationship. There were a few people stating that women want a man who demands respect and is a leader in the relationship.

What are your thoughts on that?

I personally think both deserve and should earn the respect of each other. I think it should look more like a team problem solving and taking care of each other.
