Night terrors ?

My 18m old has recently started waking up at night just non stop crying I have no idea what it is but she refuses to be in the bedroom on nights it happens . She’ll be on the verge of falling to sleep then suddenly just starts crying and seems so sad . Is anyone else baby going through this ? I’m beyond tired and nothing helps idk what to do anymore

It sounds more like a nightmare than a night terror! My son gets both but when it’s a night terror he doesn’t actually wake up. Just starts tossing and crying in his sleep. If it’s like that the best thing to do is try to calm them down without waking them up. Rub them and talk softly to them. It also always happens if he’s overly tired and within the first 2 hours of sleep. If it happens around the same time every night you can wake them up before and it will change their sleep stage preventing it from happening! Hope that helps 💕

This has been happening to me for three weeks now. I'm tired too. I wasn't sure if it's night terrors or maybe some sort of sleep regression. I'm just riding it out. Hoping to go back. Send help!
