Pregnancy and having a cat

Hello ladies,

I’ve had my cat for 3 years now and we have the biggest bond. Ever since he was a kitten he’d help me with my ptsd, depression and anxiety. He sleeps in my bed with my partner and I, he cuddles into me, he licks me, etc.

This hasn’t been a problem until recently… I’m 19 weeks pregnant and my partner and I have decided that it’s time to start getting my cat ready for the baby, the only problem is my cat is hating the new sleeping arrangement…

When we shut our bedroom door to keep him out, he jumps against the door which makes a huge banging sound and he also meows. No matter how much we ignore him, he just keeps doing it.

We’ve left my dressing gown that he loves cuddling into in the living room, he’s got access to food, water and his litter tray.

We just don’t know how to stop him slamming himself against the door! Any ideas?

Literally woke up to my cat cuddling into my head this morning ahaha
