First time home owner

Hello. I’m 25 with a 10 month old and I became a Registered nurse a year ago and have been saving some money for a home. I have never owned a home nor have I ever rented anything. I’m still at home and I come from a background where I had parents that did everything for my siblings and I. Definitely a gift and a curse. Now the curse is that I have no idea what I’m doing, where to start, the questions to ask pertaining to buying a home. I’m scared to even reach out to an agent because I don’t know what to ask. I’ve seen homes I’d like to tour and the another thing I’ve done is set myself a budget. the homes I’ve found are within that budget so I would love to tour. Any advice on what to ask or just advice for a new home owner in general? Thanks guys I really appreciate it.
