PCOS and confused. Please help!
I just found out yesterday that I have PCOS after years of TTC. I am new to this group and know absolutely nothing about PCOS besides what I have read online. Waiting for my follow up appointment on Friday. It is wild that I even have it because I have hardly any symptoms of it besides infertility.
So a little background here.. We put TTC on hold so I could get a little healthier before spending money on fertility treatments. Trying to at least control what I can!! I have lost 50 pounds in 9 months to get to a healthier BMI, even though I am still considered over weight.. we just started trying again and are going back to the doctor which is how I recently found out about the PCOS. I have shorter cycles, typically averaging out to be 25 days but they are very regular. When tracking my cycles, both apps I use suspect that I will ovulate day 12 but my ovulation tests have always showed ovulation on day 15, meaning I more than likely have a short luteal phase. I have tested having decently low progesterone 8 days after ovulation on multiple occasions, even with the use of clomid. So now I am trying to figure out if PCOS is causing me to not ovulate making my progesterone low or if I am ovulating but my progesterone is low because of the PCOS? I also read that ovulation test kits don't always work for people with PCOS but they seem to work fine. Here are this months ovulation tests (without the use of clomid this month) and my charting for my BBT. Curious if anyone has any feedback for me.
