Light spotting?? Should I be worried?

I had sex yesterday and noticed some light spotting after we were done. It’s pretty early for my period to be starting and I’m wondering if I should be alarmed. I’m sure it’s too early for implantation and implantation bleeding is rare anyways. Ended up having sex again lay night with no spotting. But this morning when I used the bathroom I had light spotting when I wiped. And that has continued to this afternoon… Now I’m starting to get worried. Should I call my doctor? Is mid cycle spotting normal?
