My baby is six weeks and I live in a hot state.

I hate trying to balance my physical and mental wellbeing during the pandemic.

I took my son with me to the mall as I had to pickup my contacts.

Went for a walk around the mall, because too hot outside and haven’t done much walking since he was born.

Mall wasn’t too busy and thankfully majority of people wore masks (I did best to avoid being near maskless people)

However, I heard coughs 2-3 feet behind me while walking and it was an older, maskless couple.

I’m now paranoid that I shouldn’t have taken my son with me (I wear masks and am vaccinated) although I weighed risk as lower on a weekday morning than in the evening or over the weekend.

Should I have waited?? Am I just going to deal with being stuck indoors at home even longer??

It’s so hard trying to balance physical/mental health and safety and now I’m paranoid 😭
