Do I do my braids at 37 or 38 weeks?

I’m doing small/medium knotless braids. Generally I feel comfortable but I am 36w and 2 days. Does it make sense to do my braids at 37 or 38 weeks? Assuming I make it to 40w. When are you all doing your braids ?

I did mine Saturday the day before I turned 39weeks

I did my braids at 37 weeks and already kind of wishing I would have waited until this week (38 weeks). You don’t want to take a chance one waiting to late though. At this point you never know what could happen.

If this is your first I would say to wait until 38. If this is your second baby go at 37.

I’ve heard all different times but I got my small/medium braids at 35 weeks and it was a struggle I thought I would be fine but I started it o get really uncomfortable and had to leave the salon and go back the next day to finish. Everyone is different but I think the sooner the better in my opinion. I’m getting maternity photos which is why I got them a ride before I actually intended to originally. I’m so glad it’s over lol. I should add I’m having a scheduled csection at 39 weeks as well.
