Sorry this is long. We got new neighbors about 6 months ago and they’ve been nothing but hell dealing with. Up and fighting at all hours of the night on week days, staring us up and down every time we walk out of our house and even stealing packages. But my husband goes for runs every night before bed and every night as soon as he’s running into our driveway, the neighbor opens the door and stares at him until he walks inside the house like he’s literally watching out the window waiting for him. It’s weird as fuck. Tonight my husband was fed up with it and stopped and asked him what his problem was and the dude says “I just think it’s kinda weird how you’re scoping us out every night” so my husband told him to put down the pipe and that he needed to mind his damn business 🤦‍♀️ and he guy says “oh yeah, what are you gonna do about it?” To which my husband reply’s “I’ll show you what I’ll do about it if you don’t quit your shit” Meanwhile I’m upstairs in bed and can hear everything being said (that’s why they annoy us so much because we can literally hear everything they do. They live right next door, there’s only about 15-20 feet between our houses and they live in a one story but it’s elevated so our bedroom window is only a few feet higher than their front door that’s only about 20 feet away.) So I get up and run outside and by the time I get out there they’re yelling at each other, my husbands calling him a fucking tweaker and he’s calling my husband a pervert, and my husband of course is like “Dude, what in the fuck are you talking about” and the neighbor goes on a rant about how my husband is running around the neighborhood watching people. There’s several people on our neighbor that go on daily runs. The only reason my husband goes at night is so he can help me out the kids to bed and it’s not as hot, there’s no rule or curfew against it either. Anyway, I tell my husband to ignore him and come inside before they wake up the kids so we go inside. Now I’m wide awake and my husband is taking a shower so I decide to watch some tv in the living room. I get a weird feeling and turn to the side and I shit you not, this guy is peeking into our sliding glass doors, so I immediately scream my husbands name and start running upstairs. Tell my husband what I saw and he runs down in his underwear to get this guy but he’s nowhere to be found. We call the cops and of course the neighbor denied it. Since we don’t have cameras in the back, and can’t prove it, we can’t do anything. My husband almost got in trouble because he threatened the guy if he caught him on his property again bit thankfully the cop let it go. I guess we’re going to get cameras tomorrow but I can’t fucking sleep. I just want this guy gone. What’s crazy is, we live in a pretty nice neighborhood, everyone else is so quiet and keeps to themselves. We love our house and our other neighbors. I keep trying to tell myself that they’ll move eventually bc they’re just renting. But this guy is so weird and the fact that he accused my husband of being a pervert right before I catch him peeking in our windows freaks me out even more. I’m home alone a lot with my kids and it just scares the hell out of me. There’s a lot of families with kids and teenage girls around us too that I fear for. I plan on complaining to the owner of the house tomorrow but idk how much good that’ll do. I just wish there was a way to get them gone.
