How often to bathe newborn??

How often should I bathe my newborn please comment she was born Saturday

I hardly ever bathed my newborn. You only really wipe them with a damp cloth until the umbilical stump falls off to keep it dry. I maybe did it once a week or so that’s it. they don’t get “dirty”

You aren’t really supposed to bath them until their umbilical cord falls off. You just wipe them down with a wash cloth. After that I’d bathe baby every 2 to 3 days until she got more active. Now it’s every other day depending on how dirty she gets.

We didn't bathe them till their stump fell off.  But once that happened we did every other day but wipe down every day since 3 of my 5 had acid reflux so they'd spit up alot. So they got yucky. I'm hoping baby 5 doesn't have it.

I actually didn’t BATHE them till their cord stumps fell off. After that, probably 2-3 times a week if they needed it. Maybe less if they didn’t. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I get nervous bathing them because they’re so tiny and fragile and slippery! 
Not bathing very often isn’t bad. They don’t get super dirty.

We also didn’t bathe our daughter often as a newborn. We started to more regularly to help wind her down and cue bedtime, but that was closer to 1 month+ old. Even then, it was mostly a rinse down with super gentle newborn wash.
