Postpartum period??

Question

I had my baby on May 28th, had 7 weeks of PP bleeding after a csection, and now I’m almost 11 weeks PP and I think my period came back. But I’m confused because I’m exclusively breastfeeding and I thought that delays the return of periods. Any thoughts?

Same thing happened to me with both of my kids. Got my period 6 weeks PP both times while EBF.

Similar happened to me too. I was a vaginal birth but bled until about 5 weeks. I got my period at 7 weeks exclusively breastfeeding. My midwife said it can come back that early and be erratic. I got another period at 9 weeks and spotting at 11 weeks. Hoping my body figures itself out soon!  Kind of bummed because when my other two babies I made it six months with no period. Hopefully it stays away for a while now!

Post c section I only bled for about 2 weeks, then started bleeding suddenly and heavily at 5 weeks. Got checked out and everything looked ok on ultrasound so they said it must be my period. However it’s been 2 months since then and no more bleeding so who knows!

Same situation as you too. Had a c section and got my period 5 weeks pp. I have had a 2nd period since so it’s confirmed that’s what the bleeding was. I was exclusively breastfeeding too.

I’m in the exact same situation! C-section and all. Talked to my doctor and she said it’s completely normal and more common than you think.
