7 year old nephew attending school for the first time

My 7 year old nephew is finally going school! I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to most but it is to us. His mom has never put him in school ever. I've made a few posts about her and my nephew a long time ago. She's very self centered and selfish. It's about her, making sure she looks good, making sure she has a man but the kids are always put last for everything. Luckily my family try to be involved as much as we can and sometimes she's so up her ass she won't let us, ignore us intentionally or of course post it on fb.

My nephew has some speech problems and he doesn't get much attention at home so when he's around other people he latches on. There's other things that makes me think there's something wrong mentally as well.

She has 4 kids, three by my brother. Ever since her and my brother broke up she's been super lazy with parenting. Even when they were together my brother did everything. My brother isn't father of the year either he's been back and forth from Texas to Michigan now back in Texas. That's another story.

Anyway, my youngest nephew has never been to school but all of the the kids went to daycare. The two oldest kids went to school but she lacked at making sure they attended and even when they went virtual the school had given each child a tablet to log into their classes everyday. Well they didn't and the school came and took their tablets. My niece and nephew didn't log on often and luckily they just barely passed onto the next grade. When my brother was in town last, he was trying to get their tablets back and he was able to but the mom told him she didn't have time and was too busy to make sure they logged on to school and he could sit with them and make sure they went to school.

This is year she finally put my nephew into school. He'll be a bit behind but this is a step in the right direction. I just hope the kids stay in school. She has a younger child whose almost 6 and as far as I know he isn't enrolled in school yet. I could go on and on about her all day but I'm just so happy he's finally going to get the education he deserves and needs.
