Patience???

Question

Working retail:
 Customer: ( getting mad and yelling ) you guys need to hire more people this is f**king ridiculous!!!
Me: im sorry sir, someone will be right with you? (Im already helping someone and on a phone call)
Customer: this f**king ridiculous. What do you people actually do! You should actually be working!
I eventually help with this man. Im going as fast as i can and helping everyone the best i can.
My thing is...i love how the solution is, is too hire more people and not to have more patience. The customer waited a total of 6 minutes. I really dont think that qualifies yelling and screaming. But management told me to hurry up and help this man because we cant have this gentleman or any of customers be upset and keeping them waiting. 
Wish people had more patience.

I hate impatient people. I work at Panera and our cafe is doing record breaking sales, we have a full staff but I can count on 1 hand how many of us have more than a year of experience, it’s difficult to keep up. We’ve had days of 20-30 minute ticket times and honestly it’s hard even for me. I’m the 2nd most experienced and fully trained person in the cafe and some days idk how I summon the endurance to not break down crying and just stop because I can’t get the times down and I’m trying so hard. I literally sweat and push through feeling faint and nauseous with exhaustion. 
And people get so impatient and mean. They come up angry at the counter demanding their order, and it’s like…okay, not only am I dying trying to get orders out and don’t deserve the attitude but you’re not right to throw a fit trying to get your order before everyone else that have been waiting longer, and every time one of you comes to the counter like that it literally sets me back and now everyone has to wait longer. 
But also, where I work we don’t leave associates to fend for themselves against pissy customers. We take phone orders and there are levels of customer recovery associates can handle - if you’re on the phone with a customer the manager deals with the upset customer at the counter. If you’re trying to handle it and it’s escalating the manager intervenes. 
And if someone starts causing a scene, yelling and essentially being abusive I will tell them to leave. You can leave on your own or be trespassed and escorted away by the police, have a nice day. 
What really upsets me is, I’m a millennial and my silent generation grandparents helped raise me. I would have gotten my ass beat if I acted like a lot of these people do, and they’re usually old enough to be my parents! People be like, “what’s wrong with these young people?” (Talking about millennials and gen z) but it’s like…look in a mirror you older generations! It’s not all of you but damn the kids come up pretty humble or just a slightest of tone when something is wrong for them. Ya’ll have the population of people wanting to rip heads off because you said “yes” without actually listening to your order repeated back and didn’t correct the cashier when they did their job right!
