Do you have your guests remove their shoes in your home?

Our shoes go on a shoe rack by the door. Once you come in take them off idc who you are no shoes on my carpet

Yes because I have fluffy rugs that I dont want getting covered in gross stuff from outside

People don’t wear shoes in their houses around here. It’s just not a thing in Canada, as far as I know. It would stress me out so much to have people tracking dirt in the house every day. No thank you, I don’t have time to clean my floors every day.

yes, always. i keep slippers for guests so they can wear those if they're adamant about wearing something, but i don't want them to get filth all over my house lol.

I’ve always followed what the owners of the house do, and also what sort of house it is. I have friends that live in a wood floor farm house with pets and people in and out 24/7 so I’d never take my shoes off lol, but then there are people who I’ve known who have nice carpeting and young kids and such crawling around the floor, so yes, shoes come off in that instance. 
For myself personally, we do have wood flooring, but I’m a huge germophobe and really can’t stand shoes on in my house and on my livingroom area rug, AND I have a baby gate separating the doorway to the livingroom and yet people STILL do not remove their shoes. Or if they do, it’s IN the livingroom, where my children play & eat snacks 😤😤😤😤 but I never say anything and just mop after cause I don’t want to seem rude.
I wish it wasn’t such a complicated battle lol

I would love if they did, but I’ve never and will never ask because I’m terrified to make someone uncomfortable or seem rude.

I think that’s honestly weird to remove them. Wouldn’t your house be smelling like feet afterwards? 😬 Shoes stay on in my house.
