How would you introduce formula for 6 week old?

So ive been breastfeeding and pumping but my supply is starting to lack now that shes eating more. I find she gets frustrated at the breast like nothing is coming out. I dont want to pump all the time as I just dont have the time for that. I would like to introduce formula and keep breastfeeding for comfort here and there. If you hVe experience with this please let me know your experience! No negatives comments please.

Just a heard up - at 6 weeks mold baby is in the middle of the most intense cluster feeding period of them all. So don't misunderstand the signals from baby being frustrated with low supply and needing to supplement. 
Also the average mom who is pumping between breastfeeding sessions can express between ONE and THREE oz per pumping session (not per breast, per session).
And baby needs 1-1,5oz with breastmilk or hour and max 4 Oz at the time - this doesn't increase over time like with formula.

This is a common misconception. Cluster feeding hits hard at 6wks old. Breastmilk amounts do not increase with age unlike formula. Rule of thumb is 1-1.25oz per hr. So if baby is eating every 2hrs it would be 2-2.5oz. 
Pace feeding must be done. This is all information from an IBCLC.

Mix a little bit at a time in the breast milk. Example: If she is eating 6oz of breast milk mix in 1 oz of made formula and 5 oz of breast milk. do that for a day or two to see how she does. then up it to 2 oz of made formula to 4 oz of breast milk. rinse and repeat ever couple of days until fully on formula and feed her a bottle of breast milk with the day time feedings. just remember that breast milk is thinner so when she is fully adjusted to formula it will take more feeding of breast milk to keep her happy.
Best of luck for you. Also some recent research has shown that soy formula is the closest to moms milk than cows milk based formula. and it is easier on the tummy.

You need to mix the formula and breast milk together and slowly wean out the breastmilk. That's the best way to do it without causing too much of an upset stomach

I did this! I didn't pump enough to have a supply to have her fed breast milk while I was at work, so he did breast feeding and formula. And my daughter did just fine switching back and forth!
