I’ve nearly reached the end of my first trimester and was relieved the miscarriage rate goes down. But now I found myself worrying about second trimester losses, specifically those caused by problems with the cervix.

I had an abortion for medical reasons in the past and had to have a D&C to remove the pregnancy. I have read online that this increases your risk for cervical incompetence. But I can’t find the exact percentage increase, does anyone know? I lost my pregnant at 16 weeks before that’s when I had my D&C, do you guys think I am at risk for cervical incompetence or am I just over thinking??
